About Me

My Photo
Richard Parker
Although I do quite a bit of humorous drawing-- or cartooning-- to amuse myself and others, and have worked professionally in comics and advertising for many years, I feel most fulfilled as an artist when creating three-dimensional objects like these. As you can see, I often incorporate existing or found objects into my work. In recent years, I have begun lecturing on cartooning part-time at various schools in the New York-New Jersey area and conducting cartooning workshops with young people. I believe that art can be a great form of self expression and through the use of cartooning I endeavor to help people learn to express themselves and communicate to others their own varied personal thoughts, feelings and ideas about the world.
